Career highlights
Stefano was Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer in Hines Italia since 2000. His involvement from the start-up phase included all the structuring and design of the Italian subsidiary organization. Duties covered full responsibility for accounting, budgeting, reporting, tax and legal matters and a control over the company’s financial issues and obligations.

Prior to joining Hines, Stefano was working 6 years as auditor and consultant for KPMG first and Coopers & Lybrand then, in 1996 created with 2 other partners an accounting and tax firm providing services mainly to German and north American companies.

For 5 years Stefano was also CEO of Smarte Carte Italy, the Italian subsidiary of a worldwide leading airport cart management organization.

Michele Masnaghetti

Michele was Construction Director of Hines in Italy from 2005 to 2015 with full responsibility of the construction activities of the Group projects in Italy. In particular he was coordinating the construction activities of the large Porta Nuova Garibaldi, Varesine, and Isola projects in Milan working together with famous and reputed architects like Cesar Pelli, Bernardo Brescia from Arquitectonica, Stefano Boeri, Antonio Citterio, Lee Polisano from KPF and Andrea Kipar from Land, for a total of 400,000 square meters and over € 1 bn construction costs relative to office buildings, retail space, luxury residential towers and villas. During this period Michele also directed the reconstruction of Palazzo Aporti and the refurbishing of Melchiorre Gioia 6/8 in Milan, as well as Palazzo Sturzo and Città del Sole in Rome.

From 2008 to 2015 member of the board of directors of Hines Italia SGR and Hines Italia Srl.

From 2013 Member of the scientific committee of CIS-E – Consortium for the Structural Engineering Construction in Europe.

Before Hines, Michele worked 1983 to 1988 as Technical and Commercial Manager with ABB-Powerlines Ltd in Nigeria.

From 1990 to 2004 he was Real Estate Manager with the publishing group of the Italian financial newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore, focusing on property and facility management first, and then, since 1999 as head of the Project Management department of the new headquarter designed by Renzo Piano.

After 5 years as professional architect, Federico accumulated over 13 years of construction and project management experience in Hines. Result-oriented, skilled in planning and constructing expertise. Familiar with all aspects of a project lineage. Recognized for attention to detail, organization skills, and proven attitude to manage complex projects and investors’ expectations. Areas of expertise: mixed-use office and residential development, commercial, light industry and retail, environmental remediation and hotels.

His latest and most prestigeous Project Management activity has been upon the complete renovation of the Palazzo della Civiltà e del Lavoro in Rome – Eur, on behalf of the Group Fendi – LVMH.

Pierangelo Profeti

University degree in Economics
Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi, Milano.

After 10 years with KPMG as auditor and consultant predominantly on clients from the construction and energy business, Pierangelo joins for another 10 years Ernst & Young as Senior Manager in charge for institutional relationships and business development with particular reference to Oil & Gas and new energies clients. This role was reporting directly to the then president of E&Y Giovanni Aspes.

After that he joined the advisory company of Arner Bank, Arner advisory, in charge for the sector Renewable Sources of Energy.
